Would the smell of dogs put you off a salon?

I went to a home salon today (just for a consultation) and it was a back room still attached to the house. The woman has 5 dogs and the room absolutely stank of dog so strongly.

It just put me off, but do I ignore that?

Why would you ignore it? It's your money. Spend it somewhere that you'll enjoy spending your time.

Yes it would put me off. Gross. If somewhere smelled bad I would worry it wasn’t hygenic either.

Yes it would put me off, I would worry about hygiene and that the dogs had probably dpent a fair amount of time in the room. I wouldn't go back tbh

Definitely. Someone brought a dog into my hairdressers recently and it really annoyed me (I didn't say anything though). Totally changes the ambiance. And I love dogs, have two of my own.

Yup it would put me off. Jeez Louise. I don't hate dogs all the time but if you want to run a place like that, become a dog groomer.

If it was a hairdresser who did a cut/colour I loved i would persevere. I wouldnt go to a new hairdresser there though.

Yes. I don't like the smell of dog at all. (Dogs themselves are fine, but I'd rather meet one in the open air...)

As above. I love dogs, but I would not be spending my money on a place I found unpleasant (for whatever reason) when it's meant to be enjoyable/relaxing.

I was going to suggest could she come to you but not sure I want someone smelling of dog hovering over me either
No - I would find someone else

Why would you ignore something that you didn't like?

You don't owe the person anything.

They are a service provider, you don't like their surroundings, you don't take their service.

I'm not sure why you'd even ask whether you should ignore that.
