How do I get rid of tooth infection when antibiotics haven’t worked :(

I have had a tooth infection for a long time, took ages to discover because apparently the tooth had long since died and I had no pain. I’ve had 4 rounds of antibiotics, different dental treatments and finally had the tooth extracted a few days ago. It still feels infected and last night I noticed pus on the extraction site. I’m absolutely wiped out from all the failed treatments and am allergic to penicillin so limited to antibiotics available. Does anyone have any experience of this and recommendations of what on earth I can do? I’d be so grateful for any helpful suggestions, particularly if you’ve been through this. (Btw my dentist is on a long holiday so it is tricky to get seen at the moment, typical!)

You could try oil pulling. Google it. It’s supposed to work wonders.

I've recently got rid of an infection with TCP. Use it diluted every couple of hours.

Keep swilling with salt water

I had a horrible infection a few years ago, It took both metronidazole and co-amoxiclav to clear it in the end. When the dentist drilled into the tooth the infection splurged out up his arm because of the pressure 🤢🤮
I also found some relief with warm salty water rinsing
Good luck

If you have pus and are worried about an infection following an extraction you must ring 111 if you can’t get to see your own dentist. There are lots of different antibiotics they can give you, via IV if necessary (I’m allergic to penicillin too and I’m under an oral specialist for complex mouth issues).
