Uni accommodation is expensive. It's been ridiculous for the past 10 years or so. If she wants to go to Brighton, she'll have to compromise on accommodation. Live further out, down towards Shoreham/Worthing and get the bus/cycle to uni. Or even further inland - Haywards Heath way.

Or find a family who are looking for a lodger. There are normally a few on SpareRoom.

Or.. she can get a job over the summer and save that money to pay for some of the accommodation costs!

My son who did architecture said unite built two new hall blocks he calculated each block halls were bringing in 8million per annum. That's gross 16 million per annum.

You can repeat that across England with unite.

I did a bit of digging at companies house re Unite. We're being fleeced.

In DS third year four of them rented a flat in the business sector of the city. Really high end 2k a month. Famous footballers rented there. £250 each per month plus £80 pcm for gas, electricity and internet. So £330 a month. He'd been paying double that in halls. For a small room, shower and loo, sharing a kitchen seven ways
