Gel nail polish on toes for C Section?

I’m currently on bed rest before being admitted to hospital for a few weeks before my baby is delivered via c section.

I have gel on my toenails and nothing on my fingernails. I won’t be able to go to the salon before my hospital admission.

I’m wondering if having gel polish on my toes will be a problem for my c section surgery?

With my scheduled one last year I was told to have bare finger and toe nails. With my emergency I had normal varnish on my toes and they did use a monitor on them and said they’d have preferred no varnish but it wasn’t the end of the world.

Sorry I must be really old "I'm booked for surgery soon , what type of nail polish do I need 😁"

You’re fine. I had fresh gels on my toes for my ELCS (high summer) and also previous surgeries I needed to get pregnant. No one made a comment. As long as you have bare finger nails for monitoring, you’ll be fine.

I have just done a fresh set of gel pedicure and manicure on my pregnant friend who is due to have a C-section...You will be fine. She had acrylic overlays on last year for her first ever C-section.

I think OP's concern is more around currently having gel nail polish, and whether there is an issue because it difficult to remove that polish (unless you attend a salon)

@Katiesaidthat I’m not sure how my OP came across as vanity? And @bluetopazlove I’m not asking what type of polish I should get?

I’m physically unable to go to the salon to have the gel polish removed and can’t remove it myself with nail polish remover. I’m asking whether having it on (and being unable to remove it) is going to be an issue.
