There’s a crows nest just across the road and my god the noise that comes from them!! I can’t even really enjoy watching them cos the tree is so full I can only glimpse the odd black shape

We have crows and magpies on our estate and they each go after each other's chicks and there's war on. They are noisy.

I don’t like them either. Witches in disguise.

Its the magpies that are the noisy buggers here.

MonsteraMama · 15/05/2024 20:21

Lordt it's the blackbird in my garden. He stands on the shed roof and screams.

I love him but I also slightly want to put him in a pie.

Crows and wood pigeons here. The fucking pigeons start about 430 am now, then they stop and the crows start at 6. I actually hate them.

Soubriquet · 15/05/2024 20:30

Aww I don’t have them. They do seem to be dedicated parents (from what little I can see) but I just wish there was a volume button

I quite like the wood pigeon sound, it's kind of haunting and mellow. The magpies are terrible though, they sound like a horrible machine gun.

As my UN suggests OP, I'm in full agreement. They used to live in the trees around a farm out of town. Then the farm was sold, trees pulled down, houses built and the crows evicted.....and they moved. Every last darn one of them.....to the trees at the end of my garden!

Soubriquet · 15/05/2024 21:02

Oooo yeah that’s close. I’ll take a picture tomorrow to show how close mine are. They are literally across the road in the local playing field/park. However….we should be moving soon so I can tolerate it for a bit longer

They bloody woke me up this morning I had to put my earplugs in. They are also massive and look like something out of a horror movie!
