Communeral Heating/gas

Does anyone have any experience of communeral heating /gas . Dd is moving into a flat that has communeral heating she has to pay 40.00 a month. Is it a good thing? I'm thinking it probably is as in winter dd can hardly afford heating for the place she's in now. In the new place she won't have to worry over winter.

£40 a month is very cheap so seems like a good deal. I'd want to check the policy for maintenance and repairs is though.

£40 sound good too me in the winter I used more than that a week.
