Anyone know the Queen Elizabeth hospital Birmingham?

Elderly dad currently stranded with very injured elderly Mum (who usually organises everything) whilst on holiday hundreds of miles from home.

Mum is shortly going to be moving to Birmingham Queen Elizabeth for an indefinite stay and more specialist treatment. I'm trying to find accommodation for dad (dad doesnt have a smart phones and mum didnt bother to take her charger). But I'm not sure anywhere walking distance has parking or whether traffic round there renders a 13 min car journey to the premier inn closer to 40. (Currently totally knocking dad out).

He sounds shattered. I'm hoping to get up and see them within the next week or so but I have a SN child and another taking her Alevels so even that isn't simple

There are good public transport links to the hospital. Train station right by it and a bus terminus.

If driving- rush hour around 7-9 and 4-6 is heavy traffic along the Bristol Road( main road near the hospital) otherwise it’s ok.

if you go on booking.com there are some b&b’s nearby if it’s going to be a longer term stay.

Like pp I would look at public transport - the train station is University and is only a few minutes from Birmingham New Street or Five Ways - which has hotels near and would be a quieter station. Dad would need to be able to walk a few minutes from the station.
I would also check out the cost of an Uber from the closest Premier Inn - quite possibly less than the parking fee and less stressful.
