Any body have any knowledge of how Tachycardia drugs work?
Side effect and other issues?
DH has just had an episode, no history of it, never had any issues what so ever. Happened while out shopping, we had no idea what was wrong, luckily we were just opposite a Hospital. His heart rate was almost 200 and stayed there for around four hours. He was given several drugs but none of them worked. Because of this he was transferred to another nearby hospital which a "better unit".
He had a chest xray which was clear. Heart rate gradually returned to normal and he was discharged. The Dr said he wasn't going to prescribe any medication at this stage, but referred him to a Cardiologist for tests.
Very worried.
Anyone have any experience of this.
DH is 44, never smoked, rarely drinks, and isn't overweight. He also exercises regularly, does Mountain Biking and hill walking.
