Weird things that appear in your house

We’ve had a number odd things that have suddenly appeared in the house with no- one seemingly having brought them in . However , 2 days ago’s arrival takes the biscuit .
We are a house of adults with me and dh and 4 adult kids ( aged 18 to 28 ) and a 13 year old .
Whilst folding some washing I came upon a small peach coloured long sleeve t shirt with a flower pattern at the front which was for ages 12-18 months . It’s not one of my children’s from years ago ( I’ve long since thrown things away and anyway I don’t remember this top ) and the label is for a shop I don’t recognise .
I have asked all my children and none have any inkling how it got there . Should add that my elder children’s friends don’t have children so it wasn’t somehow transplanted home with them either .
The more I think about it the more puzzled I am !!!!
Has anyone else experienced any unexplained transplanted items in their home that they can’t rationalise ?

Has anyone in the family gone swimming lately? That sounds like the sort of thing that a frazzled parent could leave behind in a changing room. It could then mistakenly get picked up by the next occupant when they are shoving their day clothes quickly into a holdall to put in the locker while they swim.

I went swimming once and when getting dressed after I couldn't find my trousers, hunted everywhere and the lady next to me on the Chas going bench found them in her bag, so it's easy done.

Do you have cats?

lisalisa · 15/05/2024 22:50

one of my friends had a cat who would steal off the neighbours’ washing lines, so was a potential theory!
