White H line across driveway

This may seem like a random one and I’m not even sure if this is the right place to post, but if someone has a H white line painted across their driveway, can people still park on the opposite side of the road to where the H marking is?

Yes. It's only the bit with the 'H' that you can't park on.

@Redglitter thanks! I was asking because I parked opposite one today to collect my child from nursery and got hurled abuse from the lady and her husband who lived there, saying I would get fined etc and shouldn’t park there😅 so good to know it isn’t actually illegal.
