Is this annoying?

I have read on here a few times that it’s annoying when holidaymakers post on local FB pages to ask holiday planning questions. Eg. what’s the weather like atm or when does x open?

I am on a couple of local FB pages for places that I visit regularly eg. an elderly relative’s village and a place we used to holiday in every year when I was a child and have weekends there still. It’s like getting the local newspaper, I can keep up with local services and events.

Anyway, I am visiting one of these places soon. It’s quite remote and we won’t have a car, just bikes. I can’t work out where to get a newspaper on Sunday (yes, I know I can read it online, but it’s my once a week holiday treat) Extensive googling hasn’t yielded any results. Would it BU if I posted to ask where to get them or if there is delivery service?

Seriously?

Why do you need to ask MN? Just do it.

I don't think this is annoying. I don't think you need to mention that you're from out of town. Just ask where the best place close to x would be to buy a Sunday paper? I am sure that local businesses would be jumping at the chance to lure you in. Our local Facebook page for our area (also a popular tourist destination) is filled with missing/dead cats, people complaining about parking, and people (all local people btw) asking ridiculous questions like where can I get an MOT done? Or who does window cleaning?
