International Space Station tonight

For anyone who is interested, it is due to fly over the UK at around 11.20pm so you should be able to see it if you have clear skies.

West to east, looks like a star travelling at the speed of a very high-up plane, and will take about 6 minutes over us from horizon to horizon.

Thanks for this. I went outside to look but it is very cloudy and could only just see the moon. Did you see it?

Just resurrecting this thread a year on to let you know that the space station will be visible over the southern half of the UK at around 10pm tonight, for about 7 minutes. Travelling from west-south-west to east.

It will also be visible for the next few evenings at various times.

It is travelling at 27,589 km/hour and is 419 km up.

The ISS Spotter app is quite good

Just saw it! Really clear! My phone didn’t pick it up well unfortunately but it was great to watch!

@TheFormidableMrsC give it an hour and a half and it will be back over again.😂

The app gives times of all upcoming passes for your location and you can set it to notify you a few minutes beforehand.

I saw it recently on a really clear night and we could clearly see the Dragon capsule trailing it which was cool.

Bingo. Twice in one evening, and right overhead.
