What did you get up to this weekend?

So my Saturday was a bit boring as I’d been busy mid/end of last week.

I agreed to meet a friend at a pub for Sunday drinks and maybe have a snacky picnic beforehand as weather was lovely.

Decided I’d walk as it was so nice and as I walked onto and over the common (Streatham) I saw a plethora (right word?!) of kites! So many! And a few food stalls, mini entertainments and loads of people. We did go to the Tescos near there for food, cheeky Greggs (hot drinks!) and then back to the common as decided the pub (The Bull) could wait.

Turned out it was their annual kite 🪁 day!

Nice and peaceful. Did the washing on Saturday, didn't bother about vacuuming or anything else, read and knitted. Sunday I was waiting for a call from Human Services that turned out to be good news for a change. Was so happy afterward that I did an errand, going into town to buy Mum a watch.

Avoided major row by avoiding people.

Unfortunately some people didn’t like being avoided.

Cue minor row.

Still made right choice.

Absolutely!

Especially with a cat or two ensconced on your lap.

We went to the beach for rockpooling and swimming on Saturday, then had a BBQ at home with a few friends over, and on Sunday we mostly pottered about the house and I did some gardening and kids played with friends.
