Have I wrecked my gas hob?

Just moved into a new build a few weeks ago- chucked the gas burner crowns in the dishwasher today to clean them and they’ve come out this weird brassy gold- matte silvery colour with weird black flecks on them (oops!). I used to stick my old ones through the dishwasher in my old house fine but clearly should have checked the manual of my new stainless steel hob because it does say there not to put them through the dishwasher. Annoyingly the stains I was attempting to clean are still on there too so the trip through the dishwasher was pointless 🙄

I’m assuming they’re still safe to use just a bit shit looking ? Any tips on restoring them to their former glory?!

Still safe to use, even looking crap - you can usually buy replacements cheaply online with the hob make and model, though.
