Does anyone make bread dough with a stand mixer?

Usually knead by hand for 9 mins but was going to give Kitchen Aid a shot today … if you bake bread using a stand mixer, how long do you knead it for and is it setting 2?

Thanks!

Yes.
I never timed it. I never look at the setting. Mine is from Lidl not a Kitchen Aid.

I use the K paddle not the dough hook though.

Bung it in, give it 5 mins and if it looks like yours does after 9 you should be good to go.

I have a Chef and I throw it in in slow for 5+ minutes, dough hooks or paddle

I have a hand mixer with twirly dough hooks too, if I'm inexplicably confused 😊

Thanks both … will give it a shot and see how I go.

Dh makes pizza dough, we have a K-Mix stand mixer. He uses the normal K paddle to bring it all together and then the dough hook. He kneads it for 10 minutes on the lowest setting.

We are having pizza for lunch.

I use à Kitchen Aid but don't time it - probably 3 or 4 minutes until.it seems nice and stretchy.

Dough hook and until it looks about right. I usually wander off and do something else so around 5-8 mins.

I also go by how it looks rather than timing. Also, if it's a wetter dough for something like focaccia, I leave it longer.
