I got three prescriptions last week for a chest infection, the antibiotics and anti sickness tablets didn’t have leaflets in the boxes. Maybe because they were put in plain boxes as they didn’t have enough of the anti sickness to dispense all at once and the antibiotics didn’t come as a ‘standard’ size box. I know it’s easy to look them up online these days, which I did. Just wondered if it was normal not to give out the leaflets now.

They also only gave me 20 of the anti sickness not the 21 prescribed. They gave me 6 initially as was all they had then a full strip of 14 when I picked up what was owed. I can kind of see why as it would have meant just cutting one out of a strip, and I could manage without one but seems a bit off.

The prescription should all come with the leaflets and the full dose
they’re also meant to be checked when they’re dispensed which doesn’t sound like it’s happened
I would mention / query it

Okay thanks, I’ll mention it next time I’m in.

Definitely go back and tell them. I have seen a few really dangerous mistakes made in dispensing and reported it every time. Pharmacies are very overworked at the moment, but they need to be informed when errors are made so they can check systems before a bigger mistake happens.
