My childhood vaccination record doesn't make sense

I've just looked at my childhood vaccination record - I was born in 1970 - and there's only one entry to say a measles vaccine was given at 12 months old. I don't know why there are 2011 entries as I was in my 40s then.

Have the records been lost and this is the best they've got?

I’ve definitely had a tetanus booster as an adult, and it was a multiple vaccine with various other things including diphtheria - can’t remember what else though. Could you have had a booster?

MathsandStats · 11/05/2024 23:43

Mine’s like this - the whole lot say due on some dim and distant date - and I’m a similar age. I know I had them though as my mum told me and I remembered some as a young adult. I can only assume the paper records have never been transferred across or lost. I don’t even have one vaccine listed!

Sorry I can’t read the photo. The NHS advice on MMR does say that people born from 1970s may not have had all the doses. Maybe a booster, but you would remember?

Presumably you're reasonably confident you didn't have the ones it's got listed as 2011, as you'd remember?

It looks to me like something is wrong - for instance, supposedly you should have had Rotavirus in 1970, but I'm pretty sure when I went to get DD1 vaccinated one of the nurses told me they'd only put Rotavirus on the schedule quite recently, so surely you wouldn't have been supposed to have had it in 1970.

I had a tetanus booster around 2011 as the cat bit me, but I didn't have anything else as far as I'm aware.

I was just confused as literally all the other entries are 'due on' as opposed to 'given'.

Tetanus has polio and diphtheria with it, it's in my record as Revaxis

That's as useful as I get as I haven't had my MMR!

Latenightreader · 12/05/2024 08:12

The 'due on' are filled in automatically by the computer system as far as I can make out. My father was telling me all about his vaccinations and I had to point out he couldn't have had certain ones because they didn't exist in the 40s and 50s.
