Woke up this morning with an itchy leg. There is a big red patch behind my leg near my ankle and another patch on the front.
Itches like hell and slightly warm, I can feel a hard dot in the middle and it’s sore when I press on it.
Another one has come up tonight on my foot.
Doesn’t look like anything on the nhs insect bite site.
I had a long walk last night and I work in a nursery so been out in the garden alot this week as it’s been roasting here ! Although I’ve had long trousers on.

I had something like that some years ago, but I was on the waterways in South Carolina. I never saw what did it but it itched terribly and was a raised hard lump. Lasted a few days.

Yes - looks like a mild reaction to mosquito bites.
Try some antihistamine cream.

Mosquito bite. Anthisan cream from chemist will help soothe it, and an antihistamine.

A Mosquito bite ? I live in Scotland, thought we just got midges here.
I’ll Add that antisan cream to my Tesco delivery.
Im already on antihistamines for hay fever and I still want to claw my foot off 😩

Try running a teaspoon under hot water and applying it to the bite area (make sure it’s not hot enough to burn though). Really helps takes the itch away. The heat breaks down the protein that the mozzie injects to make the blood flow that causes the itch.

It's a cleg bite, draw a circle round it to make sure it doesn't get bigger, if it does you might need antibiotics. Horrible things I have had a few and needed antibiotics each time.

Been to the pharmacist as they were bigger this morning.
Could only give me some antiseptic cream to go with the anthisan cream as I’m already taking piriton for hay fever.
All of my ankle is now swollen and feels spongy and not just where it’s red.

That’s the Last time I go out for a walk to stay healthy ! 😹
