Like NYT Connections game (but UK terms rather than US) - give it a try...

I've just found a Connecting Wall type game with UK terms and spellings which is very good.
Each day there is a puzzle that is either Easy, Medium, Hard or Extreme. I've found it quite useful that I can ask for a clue when I get stuck on one of the more difficult groups, but didn't need that today!

Did it. Was a bit unsure about the timer can that be turned off? I like to ponder the tricky ones.

Thanks but probably won't play it again! A bit rubbish compared to Connections. I was confused by one of the category explanations "X is a red herring word" when X wasn't even in the puzzle.

I am glad that wasn't just me confused by the red herring @BreakfastAtMimis! I don't understand the point of having a red herring in a game like this as it could be a genuine word that could fit into more than one category but how would you know!

Today's WordLinkle was supposedly level Hard (not Extreme), but I struggled with penalties all over the place ! - Time, clues, and wrong guesses :-(

Hmm I can't say that I found those terms any more UK based than the normal connections. I don't like the fact that it submits automatically either as I like the chance to highlight 4 words and then look at those left before I submit .

Today's WordLinkle is an Extreme, but was OK with a couple of clues (and a wrong guess). I still like the fact that you can get a clue but continue with the puzzle.

I struggled with it yesterday and failed.

Found today’s tricky too but got there with some hints. Went back in to share it and it had reset so I was able to just do it again. And get it right this time!
