Umbrellas/cagoules! I forgot mine and it chucked it down, had to practically take out a mortgage to buy an umbrella in one of their overpriced shops 🙄

Tadpole10 · 09/05/2024 21:10

Old or cheapo swimming cozzie- the rapids ruin the bum of swimming costumes

WingSlutz · 09/05/2024 21:10

I'm also came on to say lube.
for all the bumsex

Heatherbell1978 · 09/05/2024 21:11

A laundry drying rack - one that will lie flat in your boot and take up no room - great for hanging up swimwear and towels.

hjrl · 09/05/2024 21:11

@EverythingYouDoIsaBalloon this made me smile because i live in Scotland, it always rains, and it occurs to me I have never owned nor used an umbrella. Ever.

I'm very strange I know

OfDragonsDeep · 09/05/2024 21:15

Extension leads, they’re stingy on plug sockets.

If you have a fire stick type thing you can plug it in to get all your normal tv while there.

Trez1510 · 09/05/2024 21:19

Extra lube, and a pair of these in ladies size French.

outside1inside · 09/05/2024 21:35

pegs
snacks
slippers

Comfysock · 09/05/2024 22:33

Online Home Shop sell microfiber beach towels for £2.50! We got some for Haven recently and they're fab.

I forgot toothbrushes/toothpaste and bin bags! That was an expensive buy and the onsite shop 🙈

RockaLock · 09/05/2024 22:39

We always take an airer, because otherwise you end up draping towels and wet swimwear over the dining chairs to try and dry them.

annlee3817 · 09/05/2024 22:56

We got back a couple of weeks ago, if you're planning to cook yourselves rather than eat out they only had one tiny oven dish and no salad bowls. And their cereal bowls are the size of a thimble, honestly tiny. We took our own food as the parc mark is so expensive. Some things more than double the price of a normal coop.

We didn't need the fire logs we took as the lodge was really warm, if you want to barbecue you'll need a disposable one to put on their stand. The freezer is extremely small. Needed dishwasher tablets, Washing up liquid, tea towels and towels for the pool.

Thepartnersdesk · 09/05/2024 23:30

Tin foil if you are planning a bacon butty - much easier than scrubbing a grill pan.

Hand wash for the loo and a hand towel.

Comfysock · 10/05/2024 06:39

Hand wash good call

Definitely sharp kitchen knife or two as the one there are always blunt
large wok and large saucepan - they are always tiny even in the lodges for 6 people

WittiestUsernameEver · 09/05/2024 20:23

Jeez, all this and paying ££££?

That's what I was thinking! They don't provide pool towels?!

cunningartificer · 10/05/2024 07:13

Big saucepan for pasta... they provide tiny ones.

Wow, you're definitely more hardcore than me! We come up to the Edinburgh Fringe every year and my umbrella sees a lot of use then. 😄

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 10/05/2024 12:31

I always take a travel washing line (camping section of supermarket) and some pegs so I can hang wet towels and swimsuits out on the patio area rather than over all the doors.

Exactly my thoughts! I'd expect hexclad pans and global knives for those prices!!

WittiestUsernameEver · 10/05/2024 14:01

basically take half your airing cupboard and most of your kitchen and try not to make your pasta too salty after crying bitter tears thinking "i paid £2000 to feel like I'm at home!".

DonnasShrugaleros · 10/05/2024 14:17

Just incase you've missed it from the other posts

Lube

jobessieandme · 10/05/2024 14:51

What's with all the "hilarious" comments about lube?

supercalafragilisticexpealidocious · 10/05/2024 14:58

Fire stick for the TV

Bin bags

Flip flops for round the pool
