Best present for primary school girl?

I take my Best Auntie title very seriously, but could do with help this year for a present for a girl for her 7th birthday? She lives in America and is visiting UK next week so it needs to be something that can travel back.

she has as much feist as 40 children pressurised into one child. Although she’s not dainty, she loves the usual tat!

she has overly precious parents (don’t all aunties say that?) so it can’t be anything too gaudy/violent/brain washing . Not fair on me limiting my choices like that.

Something she can't get in America. Does she like cuddly/stuffed toys? A bear in Beefeater uniform or one of the corgis? DD got one from my mum when she was 7, it was bought when we visitied Buckingham Palace.

I'd go for Lego. My kids have a few 3 in 1 creator sets so you can build, dismantle and rebuild 3 different things with 1 kit. Such a great idea, especially if she doesn't have much Lego yet. Loads of smaller sets under £20 that will travel well in a zip lock bag. Depending what she's into there's dogs, parrots, unicorn, vehicles, roller skates and so on.

Name necklace my 7 year old stepdaughter had one gifted to her from one of her friends a few weeks ago and she won't take it off. Lovely ones on Etsy

Take her shopping when she visits and give her a limit if your choosing?

Secrete diary like PP said is cool though

Tamagotchi pix - pricey but fun

Kids camera so she can take pictures of her trip
