WeLovePeaSoup · 08/05/2024 06:30

My daughter stood up for her best friend and now all her other friends wants her out of the friendship group. She is so upset , she was sick yesterday and came home from school. I’m sick with worry. I was up at 5am .

Got woke up at 4.30 by some motorbike going past our window. Sounded like one of those MotoGP performance bikes. Never really recovered to sleep after that and then another motorbike went past at 6.15. Sounded more like a dirt bike this one. This doesn't happen that often here. Since then I've been lying in bed wondering if I should make the change to the summer duvet tonight and realising I put the bins out last night only for no bin collection today because of the bank holiday Monday. The bin collection is tomorrow. To be fair most of the street had also put the bins out last night too so I'm not the only one who got muddled up with the dates.

I was exhausted yesterday so I was asleep by 9pm. Then I woke up at 04:56 when it was just starting to get light and the birds were shouting in the treetops. It is nice lying and listening to them.

Mrsjayy · 08/05/2024 07:37

I managed to fall back over for an hour till my alarm went, I couldn't have coped today if I was up from 4.30!

Stressedgiraffe · 10/05/2024 04:37

Awake again! I think we have birds in the eves of the roof. All I can hear is scrabbling and chirping. I think its baby birds of some description .
Now wondering if I can get back to sleep!

Woke up insanely thirsty and needed to down a load of water. Now overthinking about my whole life 😊😴

Octavia64 · 10/05/2024 04:51

Nerve pain.

Just fed the cats, and changed my PJ's (soaked with sweat).

About to have a cup of tea, two of the really nice Aldi seal biscuits that pretend to be penguins and some painkillers before going back to bed (towels on the bed).

Stressing over stuff

Hiker50 · 10/05/2024 04:54

My body thinks I have a paper round and wakes up at 4. I need to get up for work at 5.30 so might as well get up now.
Ahhhghhh

WaitingfortheTardis · 10/05/2024 04:56

I'm often awake early, but we live in a forest and this morning I was woken by the most beautiful bird song. I can live with that.

TiredCatLady · 10/05/2024 04:59

Awake since half 2. Again. Anxiety not as crippling as the other night but still niggling away.

IBegYourBiggestPardon · 10/05/2024 05:00

Setting off for work in half an hour. I've managed about an hour and a half's sleep all night 😴😴😴 I could feel myself going into a lovely deep sleep just as my first alarm went off. Roll on 2pm I'll be back home in bed by around 2:45ish

feellikeanalien · 10/05/2024 05:10

Sitting in A&E with DD. Been here since just after midnight and just been told it will be "quite a while"before we see the doctor. Managed to get a bed and our own room (DD has SN and struggles with hospitals at the best of times).

Luckily she's gone to sleep and I am desperate for some caffeine to keep me awake.

Coastalmummie · 10/05/2024 05:15

Unwell. High temp, headache and body aches. Littlest had slapped cheek not so long ago, so praying it's not that as I know adults can get it too.

MacavitytheMystery · 10/05/2024 05:40

Worried about.. everything.

SpentAll · 10/05/2024 05:43

About to get up - collecting PFB from uni in Scotland for the long summer. It’s a 7.5 hour drive but I’m so excited!!

SpentAll · 10/05/2024 05:45

😂😂😂😂 “my body thinks I have a paper round”

@feellikeanalien hope all is ok and that you’re seen soon

dudsville · 10/05/2024 05:47

Just came across this thread. Morning everyone! I've been waking at around 4.30 for weeks. Normally I stay in bed and put an audio book on so that I may get another nap in but at least I'm relaxing. This morning however DH went to the loo and that activated our old dog who then also wanted to go outside. Once I've got up to do something like that I go ahead and book the kettle as more sleep is off the cards.

So jealous…

10 month DD has just done her longest stretch of sleep to date, waking up at 4.50am for a feed before going back to sleep. This is unknown territory as she hasn't really gone more than 2 hours since forever. And how am I celebrating? Of course by being wide awake since the moment she first woke 😅
