Has anyone ever done an Interior design course?

I have no idea if this is the right place to post this… has anyone ever done an interior design course, did you find it actually useful and did it teach you anything worth knowing? I’m thinking about doing one as we’re about to build our house so I’ve lots of decisions to make, I’m very interested in interior design and I really enjoy it, but pulling a whole house together from scratch could involve costly mistakes. However, there are lots of courses out there and most are very expensive, I don’t want to waste my money .

I don't think a whole interior design course is necessary for a one-time house renovation/building. There are programs like Interior design 3d that allow you to build a model from the blueprint or from scratch and there are tons of articles and Youtube videos on design basics online. I feel like this should be enough for personal usage, unless you want to pursue a career in this field later.
