OMG it was dire. I'd like to think the man was about my age (mid 50s) but he could have been a bit younger.

He was a reasonably attractive man, nicely presented, but all he had to say was "I think you're hot" (i am really really not) and "you smell good", which he did in an endless loop.

He was a good dancer and that was fun. I did not leave with him or swap numbers 😆

Is it always like that?

Hell. No. He’s got bad patter. A good pick up you’d feel swept along and enchanted by witty riposte

”You smell good” hmm, OK. But “hot”? 🤮 I recently had a better attempt than that from a 22 year old and l’m in my 40s.
