Most evenings I tend to watch TV with my DP (and I enjoy it) but I like to craft as well - do you know of any crafts that can be done easily on your lap? I can't knit or crochet 😭 (would love to learn though) and have currently been doing lots of decopatch kits but would love to try other things too. Do you craft while watching TV? What do you do? I need inspiration 🤣💖

I crochet while watching tv but you could do painting by numbers, there are lots of really nice kits on Amazon

I crochet, knit and lego.
Lots of videos on line to learn to knit or crochet or places like Hobbycraft have workshops to learn either one to one or online.
Also embroidery, cross stitch or tapestry

Cross stitch?

Weaving of some sort could work too.

I quite enjoy diamond painting. A bit harder to watch TV than knitting but you can make it work.

Spinning with a drop spindle.
But then you will want to use the wool you have spun so you will need to learn to crochet or knit.
Any of these are good tv crafts because you can learn to do them without looking.

Thank you all - I hadn't thought of any of these options 🤦🏼‍♀️ Especially intrigued by spinning with a drop spindle @TheCountessofFitzdotterel but also off to explore diamond painting, painting by numbers and cross stitch and Hobbycraft workshops to learn how to knit/crochet. I'm very excited as I love to do something crafty whilst watching TV (especially because I find it stops me mindlessly looking at my phone at the same time and I can actually enjoy the TV programme more 🤣)

Definitely crochet and/or knitting! Most people would say crochet is easier, but I find knitting easier because I learned that first. I do spinning too, but on a spinning wheel rather than a drop spindle! You can do all of these in front of the tv once you are fairly proficient.

You can learn to crochet very easily from Youtube videos btw.

Paper piecing patchwork - hand sewn. Very therapeutic.
