DH and I have have recently received some inheritance and have decided we want to move. We currently live in SW London but want out. Ideally we will be within 1.5/2 hours of Paddington/Marylebone.
We want a village, 4000 max population ideally less, with some pubs/shop/church. Good independent prep schools nearby and close to a mid-size town with a supermarket or two etc.
We have family experience with Great Missenden/Prestwood and Pangbourne but would rather not move so close to family!
Any ideas? We’d rather be west of london, so not much interest in Essex/Kent/Sussex, more so Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire etc. would be open to Surrey but it’s not top of our list!
