Kindle help please!

I have a paperwhite kindle and its torally frozen on the picture of the boy under the tree. It was flashing on and off and the charging light was flashing green to orange but now its not doing anything.
I've tried holding down the power button for 40 seconds as that's what it says to do when I Google but hasn't worked.
The power button is really difficult to press.

Any advice please, I love my kindle!

Keep pressing, it needs a reset. Had to do mine a couple of times and it's been a bugger to do.

Could it be v low on battery? Mine has frozen before on the tree picture when it needed charging. I left mine to charge them was able to restart it once it had some power

No I tried charging it, no change. I've tried holding the power a few more times but it's still not working

The button on my Kindle is broken. To turn it on or off I have to push it against a table to really press the power button.

Has the on/off button got clogged up with fluff? This happened to mine, but I carefully cleared it with a pin, and it's been fine since.
I'd let the Kindle rest of 24 hours, then see if you can reset it.
