Has anyone been to Menorca recently?

We have a Jet2 holiday booked in July. An elderly relative keeps sending me scare stories about not being allowed into the country unless we can prove we have 100 euros per person per day - that’s over 3000 for a family of four! Can anyone confirm whether this is the case? It seems very unlikely that border officials will be checking bank accounts.

Yes and no one asked us for any proof of funds. We go twice a year (last time was in April) and have never been asked this.

Funds can include a credit card that you have with you.

we go at least once a year to a family apartment, never been asked nor was I aware of this rule. Going in 2 weeks…best dig out the credit card
