Last year I overpayed £1500 on council tax, because I was being charged as if it was a 2nd home. Ridiculous I didn't notice I know, but with other rising bills and it being DD, I didn't.
Instead of them paying back the £1500 now though, they are reducing my bills going forward this year. Is this correct? Surely I should get back the whole overpayment now? Can I request this or is it some loophole to only pay back in installments?
