Random question re c-section dressing and glue

I had a c section last week, I removed the honeycomb dressing after 48 hours as advised but it left a lot of residue which I can’t clean off! The midwife suggested oil but in baby brain I didn’t think to ask what type. Anyone had success cleaning this off?

Bit of olive oil would do the trick.

Try baby oil. I think the glue is fat soluble.

Don't use tea tree oil, it dissolved my stitches!

Thank you I will have a soak in the shower later and try both of those!

I forgot about the stickiness! I remember using a muslin and warm water with some very gentle rubbing. Oil sounds like a great idea but be careful near the wound. Muslins were also great for gently drying the area
