Stair rug runner

Hi,

Posting in chat for footfall.

I'm looking to strip the carpet off our stairs, repaint them then would like a carpet running through the middle.

I've been looking at stair rugs. Has anyone successfully fitted their own stair rug runner, is it as reasonably simple job and does it look good? Or am I better off just going to carpetright?

Is yours a straight staircase? No bend? It’s relatively easy if it’s straight and there’s not many tools required. Have a look on instagram. I’ve watched a few videos on instagram where people have done it themselves and it looks really nice. You can also get stairs rods that go across that I think look nice too.

Yes it's just a straight staircase so not navigating any tricky bends.
