Help with last minute plans for London tomorrow

DH and I are off to London tomorrow. We had some plans which involved lots of wandering around museums etc, but now DH has injured his knee. He can walk a bit but shouldn’t be standing and walking all day so we need new plans!

He’s still insisting we go as it’s my birthday treat and it’s not that easy to get the kids cared for overnight.

I need suggestions of things to do sitting down! We have a restaurant booked, don’t mind getting taxis but are staying in Holborn area. We like a cocktail or two, historical stuff, DH is not a big theatre fan. Help!

Boat ride on the Thames? You could get a Thames clipper, get off at Greenwich and have a drink, look at the market for as much as he can stand then boat back?

The curzons are nice cinemas with comfy seats and cocktails if there is a film you fancy.

Check if there are any comedy gigs on, the Leicester Square Theatre is nice amd small, good atmosphere.

I enjoyed the Horrible Histories boat trip. You could try to time it with watching Tower Bridge lifting before or after. There’s a website with the times.

Brilliant suggestions! Thank you.

I second a boat trip. Thames clipper is good, but you can also book some with dinner on. They are well worth it.

The cable car might be another seated option, or the London Eye.

If you're in Holborn then the Gerald Scarfe bar at the Rosewood is nice, cocktails and cartoons, what's not to like!

You could also get a day rover ticket for the riverboats - Uber . Lots of places to hop on and off to see

Didn't know that, thanks, good for my parents when they come to visit. There are lifts and the free exhibitions are pretty good right now, I was there this week. Really loved the Richters.

Tea at the Waldorf. It's at Aldwych, not far from you and a great birthday treat.
