I am not entirely sure. What’s wrong with a seat belt? I get you might not want to lug around a car seat, but surely a seat belt is better than velcroing your baby to their seat.

I don't see the point of this - it won't work for more than a few minutes, isn't safe when the child is asleep. You can't change them with velcro stuck to them and a child of that age needs constant supervision anyway and would need to be held by an adult or in a secured car seat during take off/landing. The child also needs to move - you can't seriously expect to stick them in place for hours whilst you carry on with reading your book!

I would have thought that the adhesion on the velcro would damage both the clothes and seat when you try to remove it at the end of the flight.

I can exactly see a baby sitting there quietly either. They are likely to make a lot of noise because they can’t reach xyz
