Can’t Find Thread From *lucysmam* So Starting My Own - What’s Everyone Up To Today?

Morning all. Haven’t done a great deal yet. I should be hanging the washing out as it’s nice here ( for now!) Unloaded & loaded the dishwasher. DD15 wants me to run her & GF out to a friend’s to collect something then drop them in town. I need a few bits too. DH is working til 1 then nipping to B & Q. He might go for a bike ride later. I was going to get Asda pizzas for tea but it will be heaving as it’s BH weekend so will probably do battered cod, chips & peas instead. I’ll try my alcohol free pear cider which has been sitting in the fridge for a while. Watching BGT & the 1% club tonight. What about you guys?

Good morning @RabbitsRock . We were up early, went to The Range and bought some garden pots, 4 bags of compost and an Apple tree (and a bag of jaffa cake misshapes) , then to B&M and bought some carnations, sweet peas, aucuba and a laurel, and finally to Iceland Food Warehouse where I bought some stuff for a family picnic lunch. I have just finished a delicious cup of cafe hag decaffeinated coffee made with my Tassimo suny machine (with some jaffa cakes) and my DH has gone out to put some of the plants in pots.

This afternoon I'm going to tidy up the spare room ready for my daughter to visit next week, and I will have an afternoon rest listening to the last bit of my Jasper Fforde 'One of our Thursdays is missing' audiobook while DH has a nap.

I may make a stew this evening, but it might wait until tomorrow. We're having steak to eat this evening, probably with fried onions and chips.

I hope @Lucysmam is OK - I haven't seen anything from her for a while.

The normal weekend thread from Lucysmam was about last weekend, so it's just todays. Perhaps she has plans 😂

Morning, well afternoon @RabbitsRock and all. Hope @lucysmam is ok.

I'm so excited about the 3 day weekend! Garden day here today I have some pots to plant up for the front and also might assemble our new greenhouse. We lost our greenhouse in a storm last year so have got a new, albeit smaller one now but it's still in the box.

Dh and I have been attacking the garden, had so much to do as it had been really neglected following some renovating we’d been doing - it’s back breaking work but already we can see progress.
We’ve just stopped for a lunch break and then will press on until about 4, I’m going out tonight so will need a long hot soak and scrub!

Got up to do the washing up and have some alone time before DP woke up (he likes to have a lie in at the weekend because he gets up early during the week for work, whereas I can get up late anytime if I really want to!)

I did some plant-moving in the garden and decluttered a few ugly plastic pots. Probably going to mow the lawn tomorrow because it's very soggy today.

We've been for a walk now and I've come home and got into bed to recover and eat cereal because I'm really struggling with sensory overload and on the verge of having a meltdown. DP is making lunch for himself.

Not sure what else we'll get up to. Maybe I'll do some knitting or hand stitching but right now I can't face anything.

Morning. I have done a good surface clean and cleaned the cooker. Intended to be a bit more thorough but had enough. Had a few busy social weekends so not doing a lot. DH is at work. Was going to mow the lawns but still feel a bit wet . Think will do tomorrow as no forecast of rain today. Intend to chill 2ish once sorted washing and lunch for everyone. Enjoy your day.

Doing a bit of diy and going for a beauty treatment as a bit of a treat

Good afternoon everyone, it’s sunny here so I have been in and out of the garden all morning.
So far I have made a cottage pie and a lemon cheesecake, hung a load of washing out, lugged two bags of compost in from the car, folded up an enormous tarpaulin, chatted to my lovely neighbour over the fence, loaded and emptied the dishwasher and reloaded it, potted up 80 assorted plug plants and just had a coffee.
I hope to sit outside with my book later, and do sod all for a couple of hours 🙏
DH and DD have gone off looking for walking boots in Bristol, goodness knows when they’ll be back (it will be crazy on a bank holiday weekend), she walked the dogs earlier and they’re snoozing.

Did my “parkrun sandwich” ( run there and back too to get a longer run in). Dh drove the dc to the parkrun and I ran with dd ( ds burned us off). Home to sort some laundry. Drove ds to boxing and dd and I went to get a card and present for a friend. Now she and Dh are looking at tents and I’m having a coffee and chill. Think we might all just chill this arvo ( might finish Baby Reindeer or read) and then going out for early dinner with DH’s family later.

I've popped into our local town whilst my husband is at home doing some work and toddler is napping. Currently having a a Starbucks :-)
Plan is to pop and do some shopping later.

"Morning" everyone thanks for the tags & concern. I'm full of some sort of virus that's properly done me in & been sleeping since about 6pm last night after soldiering through the week at work 🙄 Starting to feel more human now so hopefully we can salvage some of the long weekend.

As you've probably guessed, no plans for today but dd2's been on a successful shopping trip with her dad. Tbh it's probably done her good to spend some time with him rather than me.

Had DD chatting to me until 2am.

Then gardening with DH for 1.5 hours, filled green bin and planted 6 lavenders and a jasmine and cleared a fair bit then had a bath and a cup of tea with shortbread.

Had smoked salmon salad for lunch with minted new potatoes and shredded carrot.

DD is punting on the river all day then back to A level revision tomorrow.

DH is just out getting more food for the silkies. Did some hoovering.

Today has just kind of run away from me.

Kids had swimming earlier, then we did library and had an hour in the park. Home for lunch and to watch the Arsenal game. DP then took kids to the bigger park and for ice cream as I'm absolutely knackered and had to go to bed. Waiting for some blood test results as this is another level tiredness (I have an autoimmune condition so I'm well versed in tiredness but it's really ramped up recently so they are checking a few extra things)

Dinner is fajitas and I'll probably be in bed before the kids.

Took teens out for photoshoot and nature walk this lunchtime, we had a cheeky pint in our local's sunny garden on way back.

They now have me jumping around the kitchen cooking ribs, and various other dishes with many layers, that's ok the radio is on and we are a bit sun kissed.

So will feed all them, play rapidough and then chill with weekend papers and a wine until we put Team America on later. I think. Might change you never know.

Late to the thread but i was working, just going home now.

I too had that virus @lucysmam , it takes a long time to go!

It's horrible @ssd. It was accompanied by some sort of rash that's magically vanished after a day of literally nothing but sleep 🤷‍♀️

Today has been a bath and all of my scrubs and at home facial, some holiday planning, and laundry and cleaning. I made a big salad with all the bits for lunch and then took dd for some driving practice (test next month). Popped to the pub for a pint then made fajitas for tea. I'm going to finish watching Baby Reindeer with a glass of wine and have an early night as I'm at work tomorrow. I also have a caramel donut waiting for me but may save it for tomorrow.
