You are SO reported to The Apostrophe Appreciation Society!

Ouch! I felt that!

mechanicalpencil · 03/05/2024 21:35

🤣🤣🤣

Tonnes of posters will tell you it doesn't matter. But it bloody does. We should all try to be better and make others better. Not let standards slip.

NatalieIsFreezing · 03/05/2024 21:41

Capitalisation in the description is shocking too! I shall never darken their doors again!

CommeIlFaut · 03/05/2024 21:44

You would have expected Waitroses standards to be better than that.

murasaki · 03/05/2024 21:53

Disgraceful!

Back in the olden days (early 2000s) we had a work apostrophe misuse society, where a few of us used to send egregious examples round to each other using the internal mail. It was a delight to get a new one in addition to the boring work stuff you usually got every day. Yes, we were bored at work....

UtterlyOtterly · 03/05/2024 21:57

Tut tut.

NerdWhoEatsMedlar · 03/05/2024 22:00

I've never forgiven them for going from the best stir fry veggies going to bulk standard; so common.

ValueAddedTaxonomy · 03/05/2024 22:03

Honestly, Waitrose! What do we pay that little bit extra for if it isn't sound orthographic practices?

NerdWhoEatsMedlar · 03/05/2024 22:07

They'll tell us they are Grocer's next 😉

Ladyprehensile · 03/05/2024 22:07

Makes me cringe.
Please, will someone get in touch with Waitrose to get this corrected.
There is no hope.
Send the perpetrator back to English lessons at school.

YourWinter · 03/05/2024 22:10

It does matter, and it’s yet another example of Waitrose in decline.
