Films you used to watch with your grandparents

I've had the day off today so after cleaning the bedrooms I decided to watch My Fair Lady.

I used to watch this with my grandma with a bowl of vanilla and lime ice cream (M&S). Feeling all warm and fuzzy at the memory. Wish DS would watch this with me.

So what films remind you of your grandparents?

Singing in the Rain and Thoroughly Modern Millie. My grandad had a collection of VHS tapes of things he’d recorded off the tv, all meticulously labelled and organised. He loved the old musicals!

Thanks OP, you’ve jogged a nice memory Smile

I didn't watch TV with my grandparents - my nana on one side didn't have a TV, she had the radio on all the time, and on the other side my grandad was always watching sport and my nana was always busy. But I did watch films with my parents and there are certain films where I can just hear the comments from my mum or dad as I was watching - West Side Story, Grease, Casablanca, Gone with the Wind.

Classics.
I can hear my grandma huming and deeting along with the songs whenever I watch them... Almost makes it feel like she's still here
