My 13 yr old child has become unmanageable they refuse to go to school (numerous amount of phone calls to school about any issues) cahms passed them off to a local support group, early years team was great with me but my child refused to engage with them.
I recently found out she’s been self harming.
whenever I try to discuss anything it because an argument.
nothing seems to work, we’ve tried sooo much.
everyone keeps suggesting putting her into care voluntarily.
I know my child needs help and I know it can’t continue the way it is but is care the best solution.
im all out of ideas and solutions.

It’s not just the unwillingness to go to school it’s how she’ll scream and shout at me and tell me to F off all the time too

Did CAMHS know about the self harm? How are things if you are not discussing the difficult things. Will they engage with you on any level? I doubt care is the way forward. I'm sorry I don't have any great answers for you. I'm having some challenges myself with a 14 year old but at least she goes to school. My daughter has sometimes used kooth.com as a source of support. Worth a suggestion ? Sometimes its hard to talk to parents..so I hear

Sorry I have just seen the second bit of your message

Do you, or she, know the reason for refusing to go to school?
Have you requested an EHCNA?

The self harming must be very worrying for you.
