Anyone worked for WHSmiths?

What's it like? Been offered a position but want unbiased opinions on the culture etc. Where I currently work also has great benefits so would also love to know if they are comparable!

DS has just left after being treated appallingly by incompetent local management.

Obviously that's his version and I suspect he contributed to his own problems, but he went through all the official channels/policies and didn't even get a response despite being promised it repeatedly by HR and the area manager.

Don’t take the job if you can avoid.
