I'm pregnant with #2 and really fancy getting the new Doona X, only thing putting me off is it says ALMOST lie flat. Would this be ok still?
Anyone who had the other Doona - how long was your baby in it for?

I had one (original Doona) for my DGS.... and got rid of it very quickly.
As a car seat they are bulky and heavy (8.5kg) and as a pram they are rubbish... small wheels, no real suspension and no storage. The new one lies flatter but not flat so stlll won't be suitable for a newborn.
They are also really low down.... felt like dgs was nearly by my knees!
Honestly the idea is great but they aren't!

It will only be ok for as long as newborns can be in a car seat for (30mins?). A pram has to be completely flat like a bassinet for longer.

What are the safety stats like as a car seat?

I really wanted a doona but decided against because of worries about crunching the baby up.

Hi

We have the Doona Group 0+ Car Seat. VERY concerned that the front wheels can lock at 90 degrees. My daughter recently had an accident where this happened and she fell over the top of seat and injured herself, luckily the seat didn't tip over & the baby was unharmed. I'm reporting this incident to Doona today.
