Sorry for sounding so thick. But what is the voting for today. Is it just local elections or Is it the big one of what party runs the country ?

Local elections only. It will be all over the news when a General Election date is announced.

In our area, it's police commissioner only. You can find out here by putting in your post code:

We are voting for the Mayoral combined authority for South Yorkshire

Bluevelvetsofa · 02/05/2024 10:15

Police commissioner here too.

Andthereyougo · 02/05/2024 10:21

Ours is just crime commissioner which I’m not bothering with as I see it as a vanity position, and achieves nothing. Has crime decreased? No.

BlueChampagne · 02/05/2024 12:54

Ah, it's both for us.

Watercoloursky · 02/05/2024 13:28

Police commissioner and local council here in West Sussex

greengreyblue · 02/05/2024 18:58

Was about to go and got but just read polling card and it’s police commissioner/ fire commissioner. No idea on that so staying put. Why don’t they have the same election everywhere?
