Does this happen to anyone else? It's seems to happen to me all the time!
I'll be chatting to a reasonably good acquaintance, be it on the school run or around and about shuttling kids here and there. Mostly another parent from school or football or something.
We'll be having what I think is a decent conversation, but then someone who my fellow chattee clearly knows much better rocks up and they immediately start talking together, ignore me completely, and I'm left there standing like a lemon vaguely trying to feel part of their conversation as I'm still standing so close. But then eventually I realise they have forgotten I exist and I end up backing away and leaving. And I'm left wondering why I am never quite interesting enough...
