Would you rent Flat A or Flat B?

Flat A is £2,500 a month and is 15 minutes walk to the hospital I work at.
Flat B is £2,000 a month and is 30 minutes on the tube to work.

It costs us £250 a month to commute to work.

Both dh and I work at the same hospital (doctors). We work long and stressful hours.

Both flats are the same floorplan size and condition. Flat B is in a slightly nicer area but Flat A has better bars and restaurants close by.

Assuming A is a safe walk to work then that. In your jobs I expect that the reliability of a commute on foot is a godsend.

I'd consider a different area if I was trying to research to buy or one of us might be transferred imminently and B was a better mid way point.

A, knowing you can be home in 15mins and not affected by delays, strikes, flooding must be worth the price difference.
