Whooping cough

Anyone else's school have a whooping cough outbreak at the moment? I'm in West of Scotland.

No but I have heard the cases have risen dramatically this year.

Hi. I'm in Perth and just came on here to search for whooping cough threads. My 10 year old was swabbed for suspected whooping cough last week but not had the results yet. He has had a cough for about 6 weeks now. Started as a regular cough and cold but after a few weeks turned into bouts of severe coughing. No whoop sound but does does make a strange intake of breath. I've been to GP 3 times and last one took the Swab. I'm not sure anything will show though as it seems to say online swabs need to be done within first 2 weeks. GP did say it was going round. Is there an outbreak at your school?
