How difficult to make a bear?

I need a project and I was thinking of making memory bears from late DH's clothes for DC.

I can turn up a hem and sew a button, but am by no means a seamstress, have done some embroidery. Learning something is part of the project, but just how challenging will it be?

I don’t reckon it would be that difficult if you know the basics. Do you have a sewing machine?
Have a look on Etsy for Memory Bear Pattern, and then just follow the instructions.

Find a pattern and do a practice run first. But I don't think, if you go slowly and you've got some sewing ability, that it shouldn't turn out terribly.

I do have a machine but was planning to stitch it my hand. I don't find it's worth getting the machine out unless big pieces are involved.
