I’ve done one of these before and it was really lovely to read all of your glimmers 🩷

Glimmers are the opposite of triggers… what has made your week special? What small moments have brought you joy?

On my birthday earlier this week dd8 gave me a parcel with some of her toys and one of her cuddlies. I thought she’d have swiped them back by now but she hasn’t. Makes me feel lovely and warm inside thinking about how generous and kind she was 💕

Itsalwayssomething · 01/05/2024 17:58

do you have any this week op?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 01/05/2024 18:00

After 5 long years, my wisteria has flowered for the first time .

@Itsalwayssomething How sweet of her!🥰
My glimmer this week has been finally feeling the spring sun - it always makes me feel better about everything in general ☀️🌱🪻🌷

My rhododendrons are out! One at least. The clematis is looking glorious. And the garden is beginning to come into bloom in general.

My dd (5) told me I could pick tonights story book as her and her brother always get to pick their favourites and I never get to choose.
My eldest dd ( 24) has been promoted to supervisor at work and she got me a lovely candle and box of malteasers to thank me for helping her prepare for the interview.
My ds (4) drew a circle for the first time and proudly showed me and everyone on the bus!

Lovely thread ❤

After the worst year of my life, I think I might be going to be alright. Not there yet, but I can see a time where I might be. And that's something I didn't have a month ago.

I’m no gardener, so I had to Google them, what lovely colours! I wish I had a green thumb 🌱🩷

I was able to walk the dog in shorts and trainers rather than coat, boots etc. the sun was shining and there was even a hint of warmth in the air! Oh and I didn’t have to clean any mud off the dog, floor and walls when we got home ☀️.

In the words of my husband (and matthew mcconaughey) “you just gotta keep living man… L. I. V. I. N…”
glad you can see some positives on the horizon 🩷

Warm enough to wear a sun dress here, and my turnips and radishes are starting to grow, when I thought they'd given up in the cold.

Seeing my oldest daughter so happy, confident and in love. 💕
Reflecting on how far she’s come and how proud I am. She’s leaving home for Uni in September and is about to embark on the next exciting chapter 🙂

For the first time in forever, I went outside and felt... warm!

MuggleMe · 02/05/2024 07:06

My ASD DD did her homework without a meltdown. Honestly, huge.

My ASD daughter has gone to school three days this week. Absolutely wild.

My 2 grandkittens are 2 weeks old today, their eyes are open and they are responding to my voice! My cat Spooky has been the best, most chilled mum ever.
When I changed their blanket on Tuesday, I found out I have one girl and one boy!
And today is weighing and worming day for them and also the day I can start to handle them regularly!
Nature is absolutely amazing and being with her all through her pregnancy and then watching them being born is something I never thought I'd be part of!
I smile every day since they arrived, but today especially!
What's your glimmer OP? ❤
