Pre school eye test - Kay pictures crowded

I'm so confused. When I collected my son from nursery I was handed a letter and told my 4.5yr old ds had had his eyes tested and all was fine.
When I got home we opened the letter and it says he's been referred for further assessment and then on a separate letter which is to the optometrist it says:
"Kay pictures crowded" - what does this mean and should I be worried? :(
i called nursery to ask about it and she said she was confused as the man had basically given them a handover to say only one child needed referred and that wasn't my son...

The values are:
VAR 0.125
VAL 0.125

No plus or minuses beside them.

Kay pictures are the images used instead of letters with preschool kids - if they are 'crowded' it means that the images have lines around the images which makes it harder to see - so they are telling you how they tested your child's vision - the fact that they didn't ask for a follow up means your child achieved a good level of vision with Kay's pictures which were crowded - does this make sense?

Actually just saw that they said you should see an optometrist - the check they will have done will be a quick vision check - an optometrist will not only check vision but also prescription and health of eyes and even if there is a misalignment of eyes - they will also allow you into the appointment room so you can ask more questions

Ah ok. Jeez I wish they'd be more clear in the letter then!

Thank you for explaining!
