Eye colour, what would you say this is?

Dd nearly 2.5 years.

I've struggled to actually know what colour her eyes are. Finally got a photo that shows them in their true colour.

It's a lovely colour, just so difficult to describe.

What colour would you say it is?

Can’t see the photo.

I'm not sure if it's just me or if you've forgotten to attach the photo?

No, there isn’t one my end either.

Sorry everyone. I added it first and then wrote the message...but it must have disappeared.

Green or hazel

coldcallerbaiter · 30/04/2024 23:46

Green/grey

urbanbuddha · 30/04/2024 23:49

They’re lovely! Pale green with a hint of grey blue. One seems darker than the other but that might be the photo.

CJ0374 · 30/04/2024 23:52

Cloudy hazel. Agree that one looks slightly darker than the other, but likely the angle/light etc.

HidingUnderTheBleachers · 30/04/2024 23:56

Hazel

Dipsydoodlenoodle · 30/04/2024 23:58

Yes the darker eye is just the light, although I do think one of them is grey/greeny with just a patch of grey on the side...as her colouring is so pale it's really difficult to tell.

I feel awful as I couldn't actually say what colour her eyes are other than grey / green ish. I'm sort of glad that in posting, there isn't one seemingly answer everyone has said haha.

I'd also say, the darker coloured one is a probably the one that's most like her eyes in real life

Hazel.

HisHandsAreInMyHair · 01/05/2024 00:06

They’re hazel.

SublimeLemonHead · 01/05/2024 00:08

Green.

FatCatsOnMats · 01/05/2024 00:12

Hazel

Jentefieldroamer · 01/05/2024 00:13

Grey/green. Hazel are a mixture of brown and green. I can't see any brown.

TheWayYouLaugh · 01/05/2024 00:16

Definitely hazel.

MonsteraMama · 01/05/2024 00:17

Grey/green and very pretty indeed. There's no distinct brown/gold inner iris so I'm not sure why so many people are saying hazel, they're not at all hazel.

YeahComeOnThen · 01/05/2024 00:20

@Dipsydoodlenoodle

they're beautiful.

people see colour differently and especially on screens it will depend on settings/environment etc.

if I were you I'd put green/grey whenever you can. It's less hassle in later life when the colour hasn't always been definite.

my eyes were a beautiful blue as a child, in the MANY years in between then they've been green green/grey green/hazel etc etc. they are currently green/grey with Hazel patches.

I just put 'variable' & no one has ever queried it!!

Yes, this. My eyes are dark green with a brown centre, which is ths usual definition of hazel. OP's child's eyes are greeny grey.

CuteCillian · 01/05/2024 01:00

I read that hazel is green, brown and gold, as attached. I don't think that is the case with your DC.

DiscoBeat · 01/05/2024 01:11

Mine are the same, I've always called them green, but interested in the other responses as I think eye colour can be subjective.

Scorchio84 · 01/05/2024 01:13

I'd say light Hazel, mine are slightly darker & can go from green to brown in photos depending on the light

Fears · 01/05/2024 01:15

I think they’re hazel, just more green than some hazel eyes, but still hazel.

Did you post before with lots of photos?

caringcarer · 01/05/2024 01:15

My sister has green eyes and they are not like her eye colour at all. I think your DD's are pale olive green/grey.
