Toys for 6 year old girls.

Random question, dd has been an absolute angel lately (tough times etc, she's had too much screen time as a result) and I'd like to buy her a new toy. She has the usual Barbies, Polly pockets, dolls, Lego, craft sets, but is losing interest in those sorts of things lately, which makes me a bit sad!

Can anyone suggest something that their six and a half year old has really enjoyed, that they keep going back to?

I find that Lego etc, once it's built, that's that, activity books etc she bores of quite quickly (too flipping clever for her own good), she bought herself a bitzee with her birthday money and that seems to have fallen by the wayside now, so any recommendations?

Mine loved Hama beads at that she, there are lovely sets to choose from.

Massive hit with DS (just 7) has been a national geographic subscription. He loves getting post through the door every month and gets a lot of enjoyment out of the magazine

Otherwise I’d do a big treat day out, toys are really hit and miss here as he’d prefer to be outside

She's got aqua beads that were a one hit wonder. So thinking probs Hama beads will be the same?

I've just subscribed to national geographic so thanks, I think she'll enjoy that!

I guess I am not ready for her to be growing out of actual toys so early, sigh.

Real treat for mine at that age would be give £10 and let her choose.

Playmobil? My ds loved it at that age (and for quite a while afterwards, but 6 is a really good age for it).

I have a 6.5 year old girl and she loves diaries so she can practice her writing.
She also loves board games with mouse trap being a favourite x

My dd at that age loved kinetic sand, also as pp said give her cash and let her choose something.

My dd loved playmobil and sylvanian families at that age, she was very imaginative though so played for hours.
