London mayor elections - who are you voting for

I've done a search but haven't seen anything posted recently.

I don't understand the hatred for Kahn. Around here facebook is full of people raging about him, but he's still ahead in the polls. So there are some who like him, but they aren't as vocal as the haters.

I've just spent a few minutes reading about Susan Hall 😦, surely she can't be the better candidate?

I’m voting for Khan. Free school meals makes a posiitve difference to society. I’m in favour of ULEZ because I’ve seen the damage pollution can do to children, particularly those living in poverty. I have sympathy with the argument about it not benefiting the less well off, but clean air benefits us all and the very, very worst off in London don’t have cars in the first place.
It would be unfortunate to think a Tory would be looking out for anyone other than the most fortunate in society. Or herself.

I agree. Sadiq for mayor, Labour for Assembly member because this is a Tory seat and it’s time to get rid. I haven’t finally decided my vote for the Assembly list.

Susan Hall is in a Facebook group where they've discussed killing Khan. She's appalling.

This. She’s appalling. And since we only have one vote this time (previously it was transferable votes), and there are no other likely winners, a vote for anyone other than Khan is effectively a vote for Susan Hall, a racist who shows no sign of possessing intelligence or compassion. So your “protest” votes for Count Binface etc will backfire badly.

ABK -like most people I know.
Khan has shafted working tradespeople with the ULEZ and everyone wants him out.

FortunataTagnips · 30/04/2024 18:47

Khan. Because I’m not a nutcase.

TwigTheWonderKid · 30/04/2024 18:49

Khan. Because I’m not a nutcase.

Perfectly put.

IvorTheEngineDriver · 30/04/2024 19:29

ABK.

Anyone but Khan.

Justbetweenus · 30/04/2024 19:36

A war zone you say. Is that like in that Tory video with the footage of people fleeing a US train station? 🤦‍♀️

Khan.

drinkwithanumbrellainit · 30/04/2024 19:37

Khan for all the reasons people have already said. I also live close to where a child was killed by pollution and worry a lot about my own family.

NinetyNineRedBalloonsGoBy · 30/04/2024 19:44

Khan because he's actually done something about protecting the environment and reducing air pollution. And yes I lost £5k scrapping my diesel car and I still think it's the right call.

There's been a huge decrease in London children being admitted to hospital with respiratory issues.

All London primary children get free school meals.

Why any London parents would NOT vote khan baffles me.

EleMar · 30/04/2024 19:48

Voted for Natalie Campbell (by post).

avocadotofu · 30/04/2024 19:50

I'm voting for Khan, I really like his stance on the environment. And Hall is awful!!

avocadotofu · 30/04/2024 19:51

VenetiaHallisWellPosh · 30/04/2024 15:46

Hall seems to be a bit of a nutter to me, and not an honest one either.

You've nailed it!

3WildOnes · 30/04/2024 19:57

Khan.

LaurieFairyCake · 30/04/2024 20:01

sarahsarahsarahsar · 30/04/2024 20:04

Ketzele · 30/04/2024 20:05

Because of the violence, poor policing, ..knife crime .. unreliable transport

newfriend05 · 30/04/2024 23:19

@Bookworm1111 actually I live .. on the Borders Brent / Kensington and Chelsea .. live in Westminster and 5 minutes from Camden .. you walked down Kilburn, Harlesden , Edgware Road ... bet your in a lovely area

WhiteSandyBeach · 30/04/2024 23:27

Khan. Actually cares about and has taken action on green issues.

Hall is appalling and agree with the PP who said they feel insulted that the Tories have put forward such a crap candidate. All the “war zone” stuff is ludicrous, especially to those of us who happily live here.

Everyone wants him out? Not according to most people on this thread!

Tabasco007 · 30/04/2024 23:31

Amy Gallagher, due to her stance on women's rights

Most people on this thread (and probably a majority of people on MN) don’t actually know any tradespeople as other than the hired help.
Everyone I know is desperate to seem him gone yesterday.

The man has done NOTHING for Londoners
