I've done a search but haven't seen anything posted recently.

I don't understand the hatred for Kahn. Around here facebook is full of people raging about him, but he's still ahead in the polls. So there are some who like him, but they aren't as vocal as the haters.

I've just spent a few minutes reading about Susan Hall 😦, surely she can't be the better candidate?

Debating a bit of a protest vote with Amy Gallagher - purely off the back of her protecting biological women a smidge

Needmorelego · 30/04/2024 14:43

What would happen if Count Binface actually won the vote ?
Could it legally be over turned?
He is my favourite in the running........

Spinet · 30/04/2024 14:46

Sadiq Khan. His ULEZ stuff is great.

He hasn't destroyed London it's doing fine apart from the fact that the years of Tory rule in Britain mean more people without homes and less money for playgrounds, parks, and cleaning than in previous years. You'll find that Tory councils even in London are still able to do that because they are given more money to do it.

None of the above.

Spinet I live in Putney and find the traffic in London is worse than it ever has been. Locally the air quality is disgusting as Khan, Hammersmith &Fulham and the Government have sat on their hands and let Hammersmith Bridge disintegrate instead of sorting it out after 4 years of closure This has made Putney into a traffic clogged area with the worst pollution in town.

SoupDragon · 30/04/2024 15:07

In the more congested inner parts of the city, yes. The green outskirts,

not so much. It's a money grab, pure and simple.

Coramac · 30/04/2024 15:14

I haven't fully decided but it won't be Sadiq Khan. I absolutely loathe him and I think he's been a dreadful mayor. I expect he will win though and we'll be stuck with him for another 4 years. God help us.

luckylavender · 30/04/2024 15:16

Susan Hall is in a Facebook group where they've discussed killing Khan. She's appalling.

You may think it's a money grab. I live in the borough where the first kid in the world died of pollution. The air quality has measurably improved since the latest extension (and did with the first zone too).

The extensions to the South Circular made sense. The latest expansion did not. Plus it was not mentioned in his manifesto for the last election.

Explain why it makes sense for this area to be in the ULEZ.

VenetiaHallisWellPosh · 30/04/2024 15:44

I postal voted for Binface, if only for his policy on Thames Water.

VenetiaHallisWellPosh · 30/04/2024 15:46

Hall seems to be a bit of a nutter to me, and not an honest one either.

OnlyLoveCanBreakYourHeart · 30/04/2024 15:48

I'm not sure I will. They're all saying the same soundbites about housing and police. I'm too jaded to believe any of them.

Bookworm1111 · 30/04/2024 15:49

Not Khan's biggest fan but I am voting for him because I want a Labour mayor in power when Labour win the GE.

Hall makes Laurence Fox and Nigel Farage look like moderates.

Notaflippinclue · 30/04/2024 15:54

Does anyone like what is going on in London at the moment

edwinbear · 30/04/2024 16:25

There was a poll on my local Next Door, and Susan Hall was 44% of the vote! I'm not at all familiar with the demographic of Next Door (we're SE London) but I was surprised it was that high. I won't be voting for Khan, ULEZ, LTN's and 20mph speed limits have caused huge congestion where I am, he's absolutely despised by pretty much everyone I know.

newfriend05 · 30/04/2024 16:30

Youdontknowmedoyou · 30/04/2024 14:41

How can anyone seriously contemplate letting khan stay it? He's destroyed london. It's dangerous, dirty, run down, out of control.

This ... London really has become like a war zone in most areas .. khan needs to go and I don't care who replaces him
The man has done NOTHING for Londoners

viktoria · 30/04/2024 16:52

Ultimately, as we only have one vote for mayor this time, and it's ultimately between Hall and Khan.
If you vote for anybody else, you'll effectively just throw your vote away.

On a personal level - it's Khan for me without a shadow of a doubt.
I could never vote for a Tory.
And Hall sounds terrible

viktoria · 30/04/2024 16:53

@newfriend05 how is London a war zone? Where do you live/refer to?

DaisyDando · 30/04/2024 17:00

I’m voting for Khan. Free school meals makes a posiitve difference to society. I’m in favour of ULEZ because I’ve seen the damage pollution can do to children, particularly those living in poverty. I have sympathy with the argument about it not benefiting the less well off, but clean air benefits us all and the very, very worst off in London don’t have cars in the first place.
It would be unfortunate to think a Tory would be looking out for anyone other than the most fortunate in society. Or herself.

anicecuppateaa · 30/04/2024 17:33

Agree @SoupDragon. I live very nearby and ulez has only increased the congestion because of the protests!

Not sure who I’ll vote for, but surely the only candidates likely to get in are Khan or Hall, and anything else is a wasted vote…

bryceQ · 30/04/2024 17:39

How is London a war zone?! It isn't where I am!

A war zone "in most areas"? What, like Gaza?

Ridiculous hyperbole, from someone I doubt lives inside the M25.

Coramac · 30/04/2024 18:07

London isn't a war zone. Certainly not where I live or anywhere I visit. There are people living in real war zones who must be terrified. You cannot compare that to London.
